In 2009, the SLCF initiated the Coordinated Forest Managment Initiative in partnership with the Clearwater Resource Council. The goal of this initiative is to enhance opportunities to produce, utilize, and market forest products that benefit the local community and businesses while maintaining or enhancing forest ecosystems and their diversity in the Seeley Lake region. Specifically, the Foundation will be involved in coordinating and facilitating the meetings of collaborators and interested stakeholders. In addition, the Foundation will be establishing a fund to support and leverage additional dollars to conduct the necessary assessments and feasibility studies to provide the baseline information that will keep the Initiative moving forward toward realization of the overall goal.

In 2008, the SLCF initiated the Community Communications Program in cooperation with the Seeley Lake Community Council and Missoula County. The goal of the program was to centralize the available information from the Community Council and the local infrastructure boards into a single website and monthly newsletter. This information is available on the Seeley Lake Community Council website.
