This will help inform how YOUR local community foundation moves forward to support the place you love.
The Seeley Lake Community Foundation is conducting a Community Needs Assessment this year to better understand what matters most to the people who live and work in the Seeley Lake area.
We are diving deep into the data on this unincorporated rural community and gathering perspectives from Seeley Lakers.
This isn’t meant to become a big academic report that sits on a shelf. Instead, we see it as a chance to listen to our community and learn together. Over the coming months, we’ll be connecting with community members through small conversations, interviews, and a survey.
We hope to strengthen relationships, build a clearer picture of what’s happening in Seeley Lake, and make sure the Foundation’s work continues to reflect the priorities of the community. We also hope the information gathered can help other local groups and partners make more informed decisions in the future.
Why now? As the Seeley Lake Community Foundation continues to grow its programs and partnerships, this is a good moment to pause, listen, and make sure our future work is aligned with what our community truly needs and values. We will be sharing the results of our findings next year.
We hope you’ll add your voice to the conversation. This is your opportunity to help shape what your local Community Foundation will be tomorrow. To find the survey, please visit https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SeeleyLake2026. Paper copies are available at the Foundation Building if you don’t have internet access. Please fill out the survey by Labor Day 2026.
This process is supported by a grant from the Montana Healthcare Foundation. The Montana Healthcare Foundation is a 501(c)3 private foundation that makes strategic investments to improve health in Montana. It provides funding, leadership, and expertise to help communities tackle Montana’s most important health problems, including social determinants of health. It prioritizes supporting the health and well-being of people and communities at increased risk for poor health outcomes because of income, geographic barriers, the availability and accessibility of health and social services, and health disparities.
